Hello there, my name is Jaymie and I'm the founder and creator of Let's Craft Box in New Zealand.

I am a parent, a passionate crafter, and an entrepreneur from Auckland. My passion for creating beautiful art and crafts began when I was a young girl, and I became obsessed with painting, DIY crafts, and handmade jewelry. As I grew older, I realized the immense value of the skills I had learned from these activities. I take great pleasure in designing fun and engaging activities for kids and teaching them to think outside the box.

In many ways, I can relate to the famous quote by the author and poet Ursula K. Le Guin – "The creative adult is the child who has survived."

How it all began...

In 2018, while working in a busy corporate job and juggling motherhood, I started an online project to inspire creativity in children with special needs. As a parent of a child with special needs, I wanted to share my knowledge about the importance of fine motor skills for all kids and how to encourage these essential skills with art and crafts.

Although my son has very little interest in making crafts, he loves the outdoors, animals and exploring nature. We often spend our free time together exploring parks, beaches, and farms and these outdoor experiences inspired me to design nature-themed craft activities for young children.

I've sent out samples to a number of parents to trial my very first craft kits and they absolutely loved them. The feedback I received was incredibly encouraging and inspired me to create Let's Craft NZ as a way to assist other busy parents with prepared creative projects.
